Is it possible to change the passenger? Can I correct the name on my ticket?
A change of passenger on a ticket is not allowed, as the ticket is personal and non-transferable. Name corrections may be allowed in some cases. To do so, you must contact your sales agent.
Is my ticket refundable? What are the fare conditions?
It depends on the fare originally purchased. Promotional fares are usually non refundable; flexible fares allow changes and refunds under specific conditions. Please check your fare conditions.
I want to change a SATA flight, but the booking was issued by a travel agency. What should I do?
The change must be made directly through the issuing agency.
What documents do I need to travel?

What is my baggage allowance?
It varies depending on the chosen fare and passenger type (adult, child or infant). You can check your fare conditions here.
Can I book extra baggage in advance?
Yes, this service can be requested up to 48 hours before departure on all flights operated by SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines, except for flights to/from Africa, CodeShare, and Interline flights. Check prices and conditions here.
What is the cabin baggage allowance?
It includes one cabin bag within the defined size and weight limits, plus one personal item. Learn more.
What are the dimensions for Cabin baggage?
The cabin bag may have maximum dimensions of 55×40×20 cm, and the personal item 40×30×15 cm.
What are the restrictions for liquids?
Containers must have a capacity of no more than 100 milliliters, and the total must not exceed 1 liter. They must be placed in a transparent plastic bag with an easy open-and-close system, measuring 19 cm x 20 cm.
Where should I carry my medication?
It is recommended that medication be transported in your cabin baggage.

Does SATA allow travelling with Pets?

From what ages does SATA consider babies and children?
For fare purposes, a baby is from 0-23 months old and a child from 2-11 years old.
My minor child needs to travel alone. What are the conditions?

How many babies can travel with one adult?
One baby per adult. To travel with more than one baby, another accompanying adult is required.
I’m pregnant. Can I travel?

Currently, complimentary meals are only available on long-haul flights in Comfort Class.

When does online check-in open?
As a rule, online check-in is available 48 hours before departure.
Why can’t I complete my online check-in?
It is not possible to complete check-in or obtain a boarding pass in the following situations: passengers with special needs, unaccompanied minors, traveling with animals, additional documentation requirements, among others.
How early should I arrive at the airport?
Based on the check-in counter opening time, these are the recommended arrival times: Inter-island flights: 1h30 before departure. Domestic/European flights: 2h00 before departure. How does the inter-island connecting flights process work?
It consists of providing a rerouting/connection service, subject to seat availability and free of charge, for passengers who are residents of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, including equivalent residents, and students traveling within the Autonomous Region of the Azores, whose trip originates or ends in Mainland Portugal or the Autonomous Region of Madeira, and who wish to use any of the Azores gateways for their journeys.
